A breeze picks up, a fresh wind sweeps through the summer city. A sudden gust promises refreshment. "Summerbreeze" @ 30works – under this title, the Cologne gallery brings together works by artists who aim to invigorate. Pop Art, conceptual art, minimalism, surrealism, photo objects – there is a wide variety to see in this exhibition. Yet, there are also commonalities: original, refreshing perspectives. Summerbreeze @ 30works!

Fabian Gatermann's work repeatedly blurs the line between art and design. His influences are diverse: Pop Art, Suprematism, and Concrete Art have all left their mark. Agii Gosse's work is palpably connected to Joseph Beuys. In the current exhibition at 30works, she presents panel works and objects created with nail polish. Martin Koroscha paints landscapes and architectures in panoramic format: "building block landscapes," where time, space, and gravity lose their significance. Volker Laue combines acrylic painting and screen printing in his predominantly large-format works, but he also creates small object multiples. It is Pop Art that has significantly shaped him, along with everyday culture, consumerism, and advertising. Finally, Marc Peschke creates hexagonal, cube-shaped Diasec objects that showcase relics from past design eras, such as door handles, old fonts, or poster walls.
