Chiyomi Nishioka "Wunschtraum"
The artist Chiyomi Nishioka hails from Kyoto and has been exhibiting regularly in Germany since 2012. This time, we would like to introduce you to two of her techniques that embody kindness and freshness, perfectly suited for the beginning of summer.
On one hand, Nishioka works with felt, creating images that express the longing for closeness among people, as well as the familiar bonds within a family.
Additionally, she masters the traditional Japanese technique of Shibori (tie-dyeing).
Inspired by the early summer breeze, she has created kimonos and everyday items such as placemats, napkins, and fabric bags.
The opening reception will take place on July 4, 2014, at 6 PM. Japanese sake will enhance the evening, and admission is free. We look forward to your visit!
