In keeping with the reflective season of the year (as it should be!), visual artist Annette Palder is showcasing her works that deeply engage with Christian values and events.

The collection includes acrylic paintings, mixed media techniques, as well as photographs and paintings in a novel artistic expression.

In her works, the artist draws on Christmas symbols and rituals. The themes range from the abstract representation of a painted "Advent wreath" to a very free interpretation of the Three Wise Men, as well as "angels" or angel-like depictions with a profound religious background, and a large-format cross image created using a new technique that combines photography and painting with rusted iron.
