"Steine" - Skulpturen des Künstlers Till Stetzler

The 'galerie foto & art berlin' presents the exhibition "Stones" by the artist Till Stetzler. After completing his art studies in 1994, Stetzler engaged not only in painting but also in designing houses, spaces, and furniture. Since 2005, he has primarily focused on sculpture. His involvement in the project "Steinmeile Lüneburg" (www.hal-atelier.de/Steinmeile.htm) brought him recognition in 2006 with his "Hommage an La Gomera."

At the beginning of last year, Till Stetzler launched the Baltic Sea beach project "Seen-sucht," collaborating with fellow sculptors to gradually create a sculpture path along the coast.

"Working with stone forces me, in contrast to the complete design found in painting or interior design, to enter into a kind of dialogue with the stone and its individual character. Of course, I can impose my own shape on the stone, but I find it much more exciting to discover what it inherently brings in terms of form. Making visible the delicacy that lies within an apparently unremarkable stone with a rough exterior is the challenge and joy that compels me to cultivate a patience that I often lack otherwise."
