ETAW is a conceptual collaboration that has been ongoing since 2011 between the two Berlin-based artists Steffen Kasperavicius and Jorge Lopes.

Through alternating or simultaneous formal rearrangements and combinations of wooden, textile, electronic, or metallic found objects, ETAW explores the essence and renewed value of materials that society has discarded or rendered non-functional.

The resulting sculptural image-objects and installations are placed within a new artistic context that addresses a critical view of civilization, highlighting archaeological aspects through aesthetic transformation and processes of dissolution.

The exhibition "TOGETHER" visualizes and accompanies the resulting strategies, influences, and outcomes of artistic collaboration alongside solo work by juxtaposing pieces from this joint position with works by each individual artist.
