Ausstellung der Wettbewerbsbeiträge aus dem Kunstwettbewerb „Tor nach Pankow“

You and your friends are warmly invited to the opening of the exhibition on Tuesday, August 10, 2010, at 5:00 PM at Galerie Pankow.

Jens-Holger Kirchner, District Councillor for Public Order, will speak at the opening. The exhibition runs from August 10 to August 20, 2010.

"In connection with four major road construction projects taking place in the Pankow district between August 2009 and an expected completion in 2013, the Pankow District Office, Department of Public Order, announced an art competition this year.

The road construction projects include the redevelopment of Berliner Straße, Pasewalker Straße, Friedrich-Engels-Straße, and Blankenburger Straße. The aim of this art competition was to 'mark the railway bridge over Berliner Straße with an artistic sign as a gateway to Pankow, and further to significantly mark the main roads leading out of the city and the connecting roads between the districts.'

From the submitted designs, the proposal by Veronika Kellndorfer was recommended for realization.

All submitted designs will be on display in an exhibition from August 10 to August 20, 2010, at Galerie Pankow.
