Silva - Harald Torp
Silence, quietness and to pause for a moment. Who is
not longing for that? Harald Torp, an artist from
Hamburg, helps us to calm down. He takes us to quiet
moments in North German landscapes, combining coal,
Indian ink and quill in floating drawings. Quietly and
gently on first sight, profound and full of revelation on
the second. Harald Torp does a lot with a few lines: His
drawings create space for us to tell our own stories.
With his objects and paintings, he's consequently
following this desire for stillness. His work takes us to a
different, yet very familiar environment.
