07.12.2013 - 11.01.2014
We warmly invite you and your friends to the opening of the exhibition on Saturday, December 7, 2013, at 9 PM.
Kai Uwe Schierz will speak.
Arpen will perform.
A catalog will be published.
On the same day at 4 PM, Annette Schröter will open an extensive solo exhibition at the Angermuseum.
During the tours at HGB Leipzig, Annette Schröter's class stands out for the extraordinary quality of their artistic works and independent positions. In 2009, the professor and her master class exhibited with us for the first time. The former master students have since become sought-after participants in the international art scene.
In the four years since, Annette Schröter has perfected her stunning paper-cutting technique. Her works—ranging from small to monumental formats—make viewers forget the limitations of the medium. The virtuoso cut images evoke a sense of painting executed with a scalpel.
At the same time, the innovative artist is an exceptionally dedicated teacher. She devotes significant attention to her students and master students.
It's time for a review! Under the title "NO FUN. Annette Schröter and Master Students," we are showcasing paintings, graphics, and paper cuts by Mona Broschar, Benjamin Dittrich, Yuka Kashihara, Robert Schwark, and Annette Schröter. In parallel, the Angermuseum Erfurt presents a selection of the artist's paper cuts, some reaching up to 3 meters in height.
