Christiane Conrad has made the pursuit of new color nuances her passion.

The colors she mixes individually, both delicate and rich, are applied to the canvas in multiple layers. With gentle pressure, she glides the pliable oil paint along the vertical with a spatula. The resulting subtle gradations of color create a slight relief, whose character shifts with the changing light.
