Ausstellung "CHIMÄREN" von Ute Schätzmüller

May 17th to June 13th 2013; the artists Stephanie Iffert
and Ute Schätzmüller show their work in the gallery
Kunst-Projekt Forma: t. While Iffert pursues the question
of human needs and desires, Ute Schätzmüller puts the
imaginary appearance of the chimera in the foreground.

Visit us at opening night and enjoy singing and
improvisation by Sonja Dif as well as a coffee-drawing
Performance by Ute Schätzmüller.
"Chimera" is the title of the exhibition of Ute
Schätzmüller at the gallery Kunst-Projekt Forma:t and so
varied this mythological creature with a dragon, goat
and lion's head was so diverse are the works of the
artist. Her subtle watercolor drawings deal with the
aspects of hybrids, double figures and the instinctive
nature of people. Expressive acrylic paintings reveal the
essence behind the many faces of chimera and of
ourselves. Sometimes it is idyllic or tremendous,
sometimes it is white or black - but usually it is gray with
all its multi-colored shades. Ute Schätzmüller will perform
a life-coffee-drawing session at the opening on Friday,
May 17th 2013. Those will show the Chimeric as an
imaginary phenomenon. A coffee cup left a stain in
shape of a circle on a plain notepad, a fine pencil sketch
of imaginary landscapes, populated by peculiar and
poetic nature is added by the artist.
Ute Schätzmüller (* 1983) has studied art and biology at
the University of Duisburg-Essen as a student of Jörg

her first major solo exhibition in the City Gallery Herne
