Sehsucht

Christa Winter's works explore the relationship between nature, science, and art. She provokes confrontations between organic forms, crystalline structures, and their artificially altered appearances. This leads to associations with areas of astronomy such as planetary formations and cosmic expanses, as well as biology.

Her pieces initiate a novel way of seeing and perceiving art.

Her works demand to be viewed from various perspectives, as changes in viewpoint and distance—whether lateral or vertical—also alter the colors. Each piece holds significant potential for color shifts. When the viewer changes their position, the optical transformation of color begins. The pigments seem to shift, with transitions flowing seamlessly. Light phenomena enhance the overall captivating effect.
