If you could savor Klaus Brandner's paintings, they would likely taste like lemon sorbet with mint on a hot summer day. If the colorful works could emit a fragrance, it might be reminiscent of a sea breeze or freshly cut grass. If they could make music, it would probably sound like a grand flourish that awakens even the sleepiest among us.
Klaus Brandner's works speak a universal language and guide the viewer into the world of the Austrian artist. "When I enter my studio and close the door behind me, I forget the world outside, and I immerse myself in my universe, my world of colors and lines, of surfaces and structures."
Like balm for the soul - the combination of shapes and vibrant colors, especially red, blue, and yellow, is both stimulating and uplifting. Wishing the best for others and seeing the beauty in life is the artist's creed, and this is precisely reflected in his works. They tell stories of love and affection, success, desires, and longing. Stories that resonate, perhaps because they awaken something within us. A cinema for optimists, created by someone who has discovered the beauty of slowness for himself. "Slowly, very slowly, my forms and contours transform into peculiar fantasy beings, balanced and at peace." Nothing hints at the many processes of screen printing; rather, the lightness of the works takes center stage.
Kunsthandlung Langheinz presents around 50 pieces in this exhibition: 35 serigraphs (screen prints) and 15 unique pieces (oil on canvas) in various formats, ranging from 20 x 30 cm to 100 x 100 cm.
To mark the opening of the exhibition on April 26, 2013, Kunsthandlung Langheinz invites you to the vernissage, where Klaus Brandner will be present from 7 PM. Admission is free.
