They enrich our urban landscape, are present almost everywhere, provide a platform for young and (un)known artists, remain anonymous, and don’t last long. Street art, paste-ups, stencils... art forms on our streets, buildings, garages, and walls. For some, they are a nuisance, while for others, they represent true art in public spaces.

Rainer Steußloff not only documents this art; his photographs maintain the context in which they are arranged. They are not mere representations but part of a larger narrative.

Many of the artworks are already gone, torn down, painted over, weathered, or simply faded.

The exhibition "Before It's Gone..." at Extro Galerie showcases works by many international artists from Venice to Berlin, interpreted through the lens of the photographer.
