Georg Glaser - SchönMalerei & Gesellschaftsspiele
From the very beginning of his artistic career, Georg Glaser focuses on sociological themes: the relationships between the powerful and the powerless, men and women, the North and the South, the challenges of modern life, the greed for success, recognition, and money, the vanities of some of our societal conventions, and our relationship with the environment... His painting serves as a form of social critique, employing a variety of symbols inspired by rock art, graffiti, and traditional motifs from non-European civilizations.
Glaser's critique is cleverly concealed behind seemingly cheerful colors, biting sarcasm, or even playful irony.
